Running time: 130 minutes
In general I enjoyed the movie, I think it lived up to my expectations. It raises questions about heritage, race and belonging and often does so in a light hearted manner, yet doesn’t cease to attempt to treat the characters seriously. However, as with many movies about race, I feel that a thin line remains between being an „accurate“ movie and a „stereotypical“ one.
I’m sure this movie can provide food for criticism, but for my part, I like going to the cinema for pleasure and don’t always see it as such. So personally, I still very much enjoyed watching it; I found it funny and touching.
