I think this is the first WW2 movie I’ve seen that speaks of the difficulties after the war, espescially in Germany, so that was interesting.
It wasn’t a masterpiece, but I enjoyed watching it and I was entertained. Of course Keira Knightley is nice to see and the actors in general were ok. I just didn’t really understand why the main German guy Herr Lubert wasn’t an actual German and spoke with a noticeable accent, especially since all the other Germans spoke accent free. Of course he looked the party, but I always wonder how they choose their actors…
Maybe they thought the swedish accent isn’t as thick, but to be honest throughout the whole movie I thought he was American due to his accent in German. In any case, as a swedish fan, I am eager to see some of the swedish films Alexander Skarsgård stars in.
